Weight of bare bay kombi rim?
Anyone have a reasonably accurate figure? Not a guess but based on having freighted one? I'm trying to prep a freight quote but tyres are still on.

This would be the 14"x 5"thingy with lots of holes?
Dunno.
However, these are actual weighed figures from a couple of other rims that would go a long way to giving you a good close-enough guess for freight
charges..........
2000s VW Golf 15" x 6.5" steelies (multi-hole type 5 x 112) are 7.4kg bare.
1970s VW Beetle 15" x 4.5" steelies (8-slot 4 x 130) are 7.1kg bare.
1990s EF/EL Falcon 15" x 6.5" steelies (the solid-looking ones, not pursuits with lots of holes) are 9.2kg bare.
Finally, 14" x 6" pursuit-style rims for an old Commode come in at 7.1kg.
2012 brand spanking new Kia 15" x 5.5" steelies that look damn near identical to Porsche lightweight spare rims and have similar offset, are
actually lighter than Porsche at 6.8kg each bare.
So there you go!

Cheers for that. I can get a freight estimate at least.
My dilemma was not wanting to outlay the cost to strip tyres before the sale was definite. Sale depends on freight cost. For a local sale the tyres
could just stay on and buyers can sort that out themselves. But freighting manky tyres is silly.
Appreciate the help.

no such thing as a pursuit rim is that size, just FYI they came in 15x7 and I do believe there is 16x7 as well.
unless you talking about stock steelies for hubcaps? which yes they came in that size. but I reckon they are heavier than the larger pursuit aka
interceptors or chasers as everyone calls them because they are solid not holed. useless/useful? fact for ya anyway
