VW 1967 Type 3 Notchback for sale - to a good home.

Apologies - the last ad was taken down due to inadequate contact details and I hadnt had a chance to repost it. Thanks to everyone who contacted previously..

A great example of its era, this notch is very straight and has no rust in the usual areas (floor pans, doors, vents etc.), though a small puncture in the rear apron that has been bogged up at some point.

About $5,000 spent before the last roadworthy in 2010 (all receipts available) It's only done 2000kms since, and has been dry garaged for 4 years after I left overseas. Started first time after I put in a new battery last xmas and ran great for a day trip out to Hanging Rock.

It was painted pretty rough before I bought it, a bit of a pity as the original blue looks pretty solid underneath. Still presentable enough from a distance though. The interior is complete and original, the usual cracks in the dash but the seats are fine aside from a very small hole in the drivers side where a spring has pushed through.

Work before the last roadworthy included:
Fully recond motor
Switched to 12v electrics
New windscreen
New exhaust
Recond starter motor

Also a new set of spare window seals and roofliner (all ordered from ISPWest) are ready to go in as I was preparing to paint it. Also a pair of reflectors, bottom trims and other bits and pieces.

Would do great as a daily driver given its reliability, good compression and fuel efficiency, or else fairly complete and rust free to restore. Still not burning or leaking oil since the recon either. Current tires are acceptable, although the spare needs a plug.

Please send any queries to me, or email me on will_rossiter@gmx.com for details to view with a friend (Nina) in Brunswick.

$4,400 Ono.

Cheers,
Will
