What's happening ?
There is great concern over George's health.
Dave makes sure we don't forget THAT phone number.
Craig is still flogging his 'K' bars.
Dangerous is making huge piles of swarf.
Steve is fixing his handbrake.
Etc, etc, etc.
Anything else ?
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Hi Greg, yeah I've been busy with VW stuff but just not on here.
Went to Melbourne a couple of weeks ago to meet Ray McMahon and present him with a detailed scale model of Antarctica 1. Updated the VW Antarctica 1
history here : http://www.clubvw.org.au/antarctic-vws
Been collecting all the articles I can find on VWs by Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond (they dislike air-cooled VWs but think the
Scirooco and Golf GTI are briilliant)
Almost finished writing a history on the VW Redex / Ampol / Mobilgas Trials, with lots of period photos not seen before, which I'll post in the next
week or two.
Next is finishing the detailed articles on all the Love Bug films, which I've been working on for several years. Gotta get that done.
Plus busy preparing for the VW Nationals in a couple of weeks...

Yep I'll post the link to the site when I'm done. The text is basically finished but still working on the photos.

And so you should be terrified, Daimo...I've seen the way you treat your poor little cars. Making them go 'round corners at frightening speeds, that
they were never built for! No wonder they want to get back at you.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

I found more rust on my L Bug, so I swore a bit (OK, maybe a lot) then cheered myself up with some retail therapy.........I ordered all the ivory/off
white coloured interior bits and bobs I could find.
Oh yeah, and got a phone call from Harris Engines about my modified-for-me hyper pistons that are ready to collect.
Then I rode my Ducati to work when it was bloody cold, at night, between the roos and sheep, AND over gravel and up the dirt roads, just to piss off
the café-latte purists.
Oh, and dreamed of whether to use flat stainless hubcaps off an old '60s Buick on 15"rims, or fit big fat tall whitewalls on my '70s 14" slot mags
with 13"steelies on the front for the Gasser look.
Hhmmmmm...............
