RH Door inner steel wanted (Rust repair). Have one thanks to MICK motors.

I am after the inner lower steel part for the Driver's Side (RIGHT HAND) 58-74 beetle. Just need the cut of the whole length, not the whole door. So if you had a bent door I just need this part.

Second Photo Copyright Heritage spares.

I am in NSW in the Illawarra, so would love to get one in the area.

Cheers,

Ian

Can do a complete door in excellent condition except for bad repair to external skin at top hinge, from a '72 L but I'm in Newcastle. If you can arrange transport it's yours. :tu::tu:, if you think that there has to be a catch if it's free then send me $15.00 then you will feel better  if you don't think that there's a catch then condition one applies.

Tolls, petrol & distance are a tyranny. :(

2 options to help. Either online from Just Kampers Australia or using a bit of 10mm hardwood or steel plate you bend some 0.8 or 0.9 steel into a square edged C channel. I've done this for both my Oval doors :)

For the record:

Just Kampers: http://www.justkampers.com.au/air-cooled-vw-parts/vw-beetle-parts/body-panels...
On Back order.... SO does that mean next week or next year???

Justkampers has very little stock of beetle parts that you need to restore. It has shit the hell out of me as saying you have a part and then just having a picture of it is two very different things.

Tar board in the engine bay on their site has been out of stock for a year. (or more). So rather than waste my time with them (...they don't even answer my emails to ask why anymore) I'll just progress and get this car built properly with good parts.

So there you have it, Just KAMPERS rates a 5/10 for me.

History: Managed to supply a few parts to me but some were wrong, others poor quality and others just a waste of my money.

If they want to defend their business happy to engage. Temporarily out of stock for a year is bullshit. LIFT YOUR GAME. MY advice: Take a leaf out of Dennis Carpenter, Danchucks and MAC's I have dealt with them for two more more decades.

VW part sellers via internet in Australia by and large suck. Some are exceptional (Vollks is very good)

Back on track:
I'm not the best wood-former person as it's a bit outside my skill (scope) set.

Prefer to get a door, (any door just about but a right hand one..) Chop the inside out, and fit it into what I have.

So if you have a door...or part here-of PM me.

End rant.

Fair enough man. I've managed to use JK for my needs with what has fortunately been in stock or special order, so quick turnaround. I know them from the UK so know what parts are worth buying and what is low quality.

Have you tried Mick Motors? They're not to bad for panel stock.

If it's just the flat section I can make one up for you if you have no luck sourcing the part.

Appreciate that, sadly, its not the flat section. Its the back end and two compound curve areas that are affected. I wish it was that simple. :)
