Looking for KG Chrome rain gutter piece
Hey guys,
I'm looking for a chrome rain gutter piece for the KG. If anyone has one in a excellent condition without dings and scratches please let me know.
I've got a set on my car but left hand side is a bit roughed up. Cheers
Pat

Actually guys... a little know fact...
You CAN actually chrome them...
You can also repair them...
Standard, they are anodized...
However, they look awesome chromed.
Do your repairs - tap out the ding and file finish and sand the aluminium - and send it to a chrome plater that has the facility to chrome aluminium.
Just check with the electroplater.
I have just redone done an entire K'Ghias chrome INCLUDING all the cast pot metal, aluminium grilles, aluminium body trims, and all aluminium bits,
plus the usual cast brass and steel parts.
all perfect results... |

Thanks for that. Yeah I will probably take it to a metal polisher place to see if they can fix it and polish up.

Gold Coast Electroplating...
The owner, Ron Leake has been in the biz for decades. He's a good man and his pricing is competitive and fair. Some electroplaters are just
cowboys, but Ron lives his business. It's huge. They do everything from hobbyists work to massive manufacturing contracts. They do all their own
repair, polishing & plating on site.
As far a cost goes, well that's a tough one because it was done with a bunch of other Ghia items that you would not normally plate (catches, nuts,
bolts, strikers, heeeeeaps of small detail pieces, lots of aluminium trims, pot met castings, etc) along with some pretty tired and smashed up bumpers
+ overrider + tube assemblies.... |
