Floor Jacks??
What does everyone recommend as an affordable, yet good quality hydraulic floor jack (2t rating)? Has anyone got one from COSTCO? What are they
like?
There's the Orcon/ SCA etc from Autobarn/ Supercheap but i was dubious as to the quality... What have you guys got?

I have one of those aluminium low profile race jacks. They come in two versions for different weight categories.
Used to have one of those Supercheap jacks, it bent and then a while later after being straightened the pump seals went.

i got the Costco one. i like it .. its lasted me 3 years of very frequent usage and it fits under my car, which is a massive plus.
i wouldnt touch the stupidcheep jacks

My son had Cosco one and it died after few years, I bought one from Bursons made by by Barco, very happy with it, pay the price for a good one and

I've been looking at the costco one for a while and it looks solid... Steve did your son use it pretty frquently/ with his drift cars etc as well? i
feel like mine would be considerably less so, maybe twice a month?
Heard anything about the Liftech ones Steve? The Bursons online catalogue only has Liftech available... I'll go have a chat to them in the next week
or so anyway i guess.

I've got the Costco one and it has performed faultlessly so far. I use it on all our cars including the Pajero and the weight hasn't worried it.

I know four people with the Costco jack, including me. They are Arcan brand 1500kg and are Australian Standards Approved. We are all happy with the
$150 jack for home use.

Current Costco jacks are a mixture of steel and aluminium, whereas the one I got a few years ago is mainly alloy. I also have. 2 other steel quality
jacks which I seldom use now because the Costco jack is much more user friendly. Mine only gets occasional use but works fine

They all should be Australian standard approved, I just bought a Repco 2000KG trolley jack, The first time I used it I could not lower the vehicle
because the gears went out of mesh on the valve when the handle was in the lower position, it retails for $269, what ever you buy make sure it
functions correctly and treat it with respect and it will last for years.

Got a Costco jack 8 weeks ago that was all alloy inner and outer for $149. Rated at 1500kg with AS

Yep, I bought a Costco all aluminium jack a few years ago (has a longer reach than the current red one they are selling) and it has been great!!
No issues.

Same....Have a Costco one. Been faultless. Great value for your $$$.
Looked at the Bahco one, they look good, but are not cheap.

I have the 2nd one, thats a good price, my sons Cosco jack that failed was used quiet heavily with his drift car, what actually failed was the
cylinders kept sticking down and not returning, probably would have cost more than the jack is worth to fix it
