Turn Signal difference
Will a 1958-1963 turn signal fit in the same position and holes as a 1964 - 1979 one? I was wanting to get the earlier style one as I prefer the
smaller and sleeker look to them but want to find out if there is modification required to the fenders.
The 1958-1963 style I want to fit
The later style I want to replace

the bolt holes are the same but there is a hole further back to locate the late rubber base, I dont think the early housing will cover it

Hi
I'm not sure either, but the early blinkers were very close to the body where the later ones were out further...
Not sure when they moved out....
Don't see early blinkers on late cars though...

If it's only a case of an extra hole I can weld it up, just didn't want to do too much alteration as I want to keep the patina on the guard I will
use. The different position of the turn signal clears a few things up for me haha... I had another guard that I was cleaning up to bare metal and
found another set of holes just closed up with filler, thought it was a little strange then so I just patched up the odd one

Thanks, hopefully the hole is covered up but not too big of a deal if it isn't, as long as it fits into place.
