WTB - Upright conversion bits Type 4 into Bug

As the title states I am wanting to convert a Type 4 engine to upright to put in a bug.

Mainly chasing the upper cylinder tins and alternator stand. So if anyone has some Type 4 upright tinware lying about doing nothing I am interested.

Your better off making your own tinware from type 4 tinware , it works better than the fibreglass options except the DTM and above all else can take a hiding offroad.
As Dave will have already told you , just leave the factory oil cooler in it's stock position and make a hood for it too , or i can make one if you need , apart from that it's all pretty simple

Yeah I just made it for the Baja, and made a new outlet in the fan housing to go to the oil cooler in the stock location and had Andrew make up a oil cooler shroud

Hey guys. It's not for me.
It's for my dad's bug.
And I'm well aware of how to make them. I just don't really have the time for it and figured if I could pick some up it would be the go. I don't think I have enough sets of Type 4 upper tins to make them.
But I do want steel ones not glass.

So if anyone has any spare Type 4 upper tins (the ones that go over cylinder 1 and 3 a the front of the engine) I am chasing them too now.

CSP Germany make a Nice kit that uses type 1 fan shroud. I'm running a DTM V2.

This is my Volkswagen, there are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Volkswagen is useless, without my Volkswagen, I am useless.

I second Mike @ Sharpbuilt. Fitted mine years ago and it fitted easily and never been a problem.
