Vic Currie- Currie Bros Engineering

Vic Currie of Currie Brothers engine reconditioning passed away on friday morning. Vic was a great motorsport enthusiast and sponsor,he tried everything in motorsport including HQ racing but his love was power boats. He pushed the limit in everything he did and was involved in building and development of the engines in quite a few of the high performance boats that have raced on our river over the years.
He changed the direction of the business from general engine reconditioning to the high performance engines with balancing and dyno facilities for those that wanted them but still did the humdrum stuff that many of these guys don't do.
I have lost a great mate to motorsport heaven.

Sad news Les, I did 2 weeks work experience with Vic many moons ago, pretty sure he was one of the few that paid the work experience kids. Always seemed like a pretty decent bloke in my dealings with him.
Will be sadly missed in Taree for sure.
