Reversing light question

Is it normal for the reversing lights to come on when slipping through the gate for 1st and reverse in a T25 wbx, or is my switch positioned wrong?

not sure....on mine the reverse light wouldn't stay on unless I held the shifter as far left as possible, if I let it go it would switch off.

I had to remove the washer between the switch & the gearbox to allow the switch to screw further into the box & then it would stay on.

Possibly you may need to do the opposite & add another washer or a thicker one?

It stays on in both reverse and 1st until I take it out of gear.

OK, so IIRC the switch has a spring loaded plunger that when in the detent for reverse on the hockey stick makes the switch earth as the plunger is fully extended. So If it's fully extended then it needs to screw further into the gearbox. If I haven't remembered corectly then it'll be the other way around and it needs washers to space it further from the gearbox. :)
