1973 Bay window steering column cover removal ??????

Hi all,
I'm having trouble removing the plastic collar at the base of the steering column. This so I can access the 4 nuts and bolts that hold the round steering coupler, any help would be appreciated,

Regards Pete

From memory the collar is held in place by 2 screws into the floor, undo these and lift the cover.

From my memory - Loosen off the steering column bolts under the dash, this will give some room to release the plastic collar from the metal cover.
