My 56 S**T box
My Old S**t box...
Comes with these...
Fuel pump leaks and it conks out going up steep hills
Scrapes on everthing
Stinks
Some idiot painted the VW emblems on my bloody Hub Caps
Tyres scrape on guards
Choke cable siezed so have to find a stick to start it every morning
Accelerator frequently sticks to the floor
Interior looks like its been under water
Floor is immaculate.
Good Lights 6V power
Starts every morning without fail and with lots of blue smoke
Leaks from the push rod tubes
No rust in the usual places
Chicks dig it and take selfies of it...WTF
My #11 Bug and the one I wont sell!

I reckon they are 6 or 7" - Running 195/55/15 rubber.
The interior light works randomly when you are driving but never ever when you want it too.
The Semaphores flick open but cant get globes to sit anymore. All busted inside. Bought some 6V LED's and going to try them. People get jacked off
when I dont tell them when Im turning...none of their business anyway!!!

Lovin' the ERCO radio and the Moto gauges.
The sun visors, front floor mat and the Germain square weave on the firewall, look good.

Cool car dude, some paint stripper will fix your painted hubcap emblems real quick.
Loving the used look the car has going on though!
It will all be OK in the end, if it's not OK it's not the end!

Thanks all.
Yeah shes a bit beasty. I drive it all the time. Its definitely used!
Cant make up my mind as to what I will do to it...Ive got a great IRS and access to a beautiful Pobjoy 1915.
Ahhhh...when Ive got 20K sitting around I might make it a beautiful hills weapon/hillclimb car. Definitely wont be restored to original.
Next year for sure!

Your car is what they call a "survivor" now. Mostly original paint, motor, trans, accesories and not restored. They're starting to command higher
and higher prices. It's your car and I won't tell you what to do with it, but my tip would be, find a cheap mid 60s car for your IRS and pobjoy.
Your oval is and will be worth more and more if you can conserve it as is.
I've got a similar oval and I'm trying to do the same thing. There are lots of cool oldspeed accesories you can add these days. Okrasa head/carb
kits and the like.

I like the cut of your jib fella.
Positive insights are constructive and use the power of common sense.
I may just stick it in the back of the shed for weekends although...If its a survivor and worth more and more money, when is enough money and why
would I sell it anyway? Will it ever reach the value of a GT2? Would someone really do a swap for a carton of Duff beer or an Ariel Atom?
Store or molest and drive...???
