1961 beetle, first resto.
I originally bought this beetle to be a bit of a daily and toy car to play around with, with my dad etc, but the bug bit me.
Started playing and soon my other car became the daily and this became my focus.
Not too sure on the history of the car but It was relatively dry and had minimal rust.
I wasnt originally going to do a body off resto, but i thought why not because im not in a hurry, that was nearly two years ago and im still not done.
whoopsie.
Plans are just what seems to be the norm,
- Disc brake front end
- Lowered to something sensible
- 1776cc motor
- Original colour respray
- New wiring loom
And just make it more drive friendly.
Ill do my best to keep this post updated but we'll see how i go.
Big shout out to my dad for helping with the resto, financially, physically and with his knowledge of the "older" cars.
Also to my mate Rob who has helped me out with parts, and answered all my questions, even when ive asked them god knows how many times. Cheers mate
