Beetle with Simmons

Hi all does any one remember or have a pic of a green oval 56 I think that had Simmons on it from maybe 20 years ago? I think it was on a late pan, what a car.

Any other pics of beetles with Simmons?

It's still a street car but with Fuch's and yellow paint. The lumps in the bootlid are also gone. It may get to Nambucca this year.

I remember that green oval car when it was around originally, it was one of a few that was built all with the same hump in the engine lid, Keith Hausler owned a blue one. I think Richard Tooley owned one of them

I have 18 inch Simmons OMs for my car, I don't run them all the time as they have track tyres on them.

thas the one, nice car, its good to know that it still lives. A freind of mine was going to buy it in the late 80s, I talked him out of it as the motor had a lot of end float, it was a decent size motor as well

That's the one. What a car and like Steve said very good to know it's still around. Great to see some of the classics and the style of the day. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
