WTB 12 volt starter

Hello all. I am after a 12v starter for my 66 beetle. I am running the original transaxle that used to be a 6v. Would prefer South Australia as i know these things are heavy to post. Regards Gary

Can't help with the Starter at the moment, but i know that you'll need the little bush that goes in the gearbox.
Its a little brass cylinder that converts the 12v starter to the 6v gearbox, available for about $10-20

what flywheel (not transaxle!! are you running? 12 volt as the teeth are different to 6v

6 volts turn great in a 12 volt car as you use them very little
I have 2 6 volters tested $80 plus post IF u hve a 6 volt flywheel on as on your orig engine ala 66 bug

want any vw bits old but like me, Made in Germany!!!
