WTB: lowered suspension for 1303 L Bug

I'd like to lower my 1975 1303 L Bug, both front and rear.
I've been told to swap out the rear torsion bars for type 3 bars and move the spline position to achieve a lower stance. Any on-line clips I could be directed to for instruction?
Thanks for any assistance or leads.
Cheers,
Willie.

Just adjust the rear torsion bars dont swap them, and buy a set of adjustable front struts from http://www.cip1.com

Has anyone used the Empi ones on their ^ website and have some feedback? Or are they like other Empi parts and I should steer clear???

My new Topline Maxx struts just arrived from the States. Worth it if you want to put on bigger rims. http://toplineparts.com/lower-your.html

Hey Willie. I have a set of very good quality/used adjustable 3 bolt lower front struts. Also have strut brace (3 bolt) and heavy duty Kmac sway bar if interested.

Getting some good responses / options here. Will have to check if I have 2 or 3 bolt set-up before I make any decisions. (It's determined by the number of bolts at the bottom of the strut, right?) Will get back to everyone once I've checked it out sometime over the weekend.

cheers,

If your wanting to go to wider wheels you have to go with a skinny spring strut. Your car should be 2 bolt but who knows after all these years.
