'66 & 3/4 Beetle - Daily driver project.
As much as I love driving Herbie to work and the shops, it really makes a rubbish daily driver, as it isn't subtle, I worry about it getting
scratched and damaged, and it's not the most comfortable bug on the planet either, so I decided it was time that I got another one to use as a daily
instead. I asked a mate of mine if he could keep an eye out for a 60's beetle that was solid, but not expensive, and 5 minutes later he came back
with a photo of this.
The plan is to leave it looking more or less as it is now, but set it up so that it is also a 'safe' and reliable daily. It won't get any drastic
modifications, but originality isn't going to be something i'm worried about either.
With any luck, It'll be on the road and running around by the end of the year.
Call stockers boring if you want, but VW sure sold a lot of them that way
