WTB Side Rear 1/4 Window pop out kit


Looking to see if anyone has a Side Rear 1/4 Window hinged pop out kit floating around in their shed they are never going to fit for sale.

I struggled to find one, sometimes they pop up on Ebay, I ended up buying mine from Brazil on Ebay in the end. Just be wary of the size in early and late beetles.

Remembering Europe went to the large window in 65 whereas Aus stayed small until 67.
So if buying from overseas an ad stating for a 65 might not fit yours.

I know they are not oem quality but I bought mine from George at Classic Veedubs from the Nationals for $380 I think the rrp is $450.

Pop outs should have been standard in Australia, with Our heat..
but they are like most genuine vw optional extras, very rare on Aussie VWs...

If You are buying from Overseas, make sure they have the hinge bolt holes thru the glass, as later models do not.

The large glass started around 1965 from Germany...
[1968 in Australia]
So You need pop outs from a 1964 model...
