Brake line nuts, metric?

I am replacing the whole brake system on my car, does anyone know if the nuts are metric like this one?

KG60- they are exactly what you need. Look slightly longer than an OG VW nut, but will do the job. They have the threads machined off the end which is a must for the flare to seal. I am making brake pipes right now for mine.Just ordered myself some.

I have used the longer ones and ended up machining the non threaded part of as it did not allow enough thread engagement. all my cars use the short nut.

OK- that's interesting. I bought some of those a few years ago from the brake place here, made up a line a found the pipe loose in the brass fitting when tightened.Only difference between them and OG ones was the thread. I machined it off, made a new pipe and it was ok. It looked like the thread had bottomed in the fitting before crushing the flare

Yup, those'll work and be far cheaper than buying from ABS or Supershite :)

Before I knew any better I went to my local brake specialist, ABS, and thought $45 for 10 was pretty wrong. Shame I didn't have the time to find anything cheaper online and that's how the bastards get ya :(

And that is why I do not patronise many local business as nearly always they are cheaper online and that does not mean in Australia.
