[SOLD] [FS - NSW] 1970 Beetle
SOLD,
Selling my 70 bug, citric acid in colour (lime) , black interior, with early 60's guards, fully recoed interior, scat procar rally seats, carpet,
mats, sunvisors, mirror, quick change gear lever with monza knob and leather boot, modified dash, tacho, oil pressure, amp meter, oil temp fitted,
headlining, door cards and trim excellent, momo steering wheel and boss, car is rust proofed, soundproofing, tank kbs treated, boot carpet, new
spare, gearbox bush to selector rod changed,
Every bit on the car has been painted, under floor, front and rear suspension, brakes, shocks, control arms, axles gearbox, starter, all motor.
Has side repeater blinkers, and central locking, Alpine head cd with usb, and Alpine 600watt amp with 2x6in and 2x 6x9 inch Rampage speakers
MOTOR is an 1835 , with approx 300 klms, still running it in, 69 x 92 , fully reconditioned , new valves, guides, seats, 1.25/1 rockers, scat h/d
single springs, swivel feet, clutch and pressure plate, gearbox seals main and rear, thrust race, scat C25 cam and gear, new crank gears, wrapped
extractors with twin mufflers, camber compensator fitted, all nuts and bolts stainless steel, has twin 40 mm solex (kadrons) carbs with repair kits
fitted to both and throttle bodied re bushed.
Paintwork is exceptional, new rear tyres 205/60/15, fronts 195/60/15 near new, 6 inch mags, 93000 klms, registered to 30/10/17
The car has engineers certificatte from Mullins Automotive at Cardiff NSW.
Reason for the sale after a 12 month restoration is that I was fortunate to purchase another 71 bug with a vast amount of modifications done to it and
to good to pass up.
The car is of show quality.

I always wondered what happened of this car..
I drove it seven years ago when i was looking for my first bug. thought to myself, "I'm buying this car".... then i snapped the throttle cable.
Owner tied a knot or somthing round the throttle leaver in the engine bay, and drove it back to his house in second gear and like 6000 rpm!
Needless to say i didn't buy it. Actually been thinking in the last couple weeks what happened to the five or so good looking bugs i saw in 2010, and
up pops this..
Good to see its still in really great looking condition.
