West Coast Metric Inc
Hey guys,
I'm about to place a big order with Todd from West Coast Metric Inc in the US of A. Just curious if anyone has had dealings with them before and your
thoughts before I had over my hard earned $$$$.
Thanks.

You can buy WCM bits from dealers in Australia. Price may seem a bit higher but they have to allow for changes in exchange rates and other overheads .
Then again may be cheaper than paying import duties if your order is large. Also certain freight companies hit you up with additional handling fees.
When you buy from a local you have consumer rights and a better chance of sorting any issues with your order. I've been buying WCM parts since 1983
and overall happy with their product.

I did a comparison on one item. Beetle Safari windscreen WCM $780 including shipping. Locally $1171.50 not including shipping. You point is very valid
tho about consumer rights and sorting issues but $400 is $400 and the local Aussie supplier hasn't included shipping. But then shipping glass could
be a risk, hmmmmm.
Any suggestions for local traders?
I'm chasing pop out windows, Safari windscreen and roof rack for a 62 beetle.

Never imported anything bulky/heavy or fragile. Mostly soft items, rubber, plastic carpet, badges and clips etc. The packaging was always knocked
about. Only got caught once for import duty, kept all subsequent orders small ($). Still got a few items I never used because incorrect or poor
fitting.

Yeah I think I'll buy locally might be more expensive but less hassle I'm guessing.
