Semi-Auto on a "L" beetle
Does anybody know if any were made here in Clayton?
I have been told possibly to special order?
I thought they finished with the S here

Hi, No autostick cars were made or assembled in Clayton, they were ALL Made in Germany and FULLY IMPORTED. I can remember seeing photographs
of a late model autostick beetle which was for sale in NSW a few years ago. It was the latest I had ever seen or heard of in Australia and RHD. It
had the PARK feature on the gear shifter... I believe it was also an L or 1303 Super beetle... I think it was a one owner.... Most were 1968-69-70 or
71 models SUPERBUG or 1302S Beetles. No one seems to have any numbers on how many were imported into Australia... Not very many compared to the many
thousands that were sold in the USA - both Beetles and Karman Ghias
