Flash Trim clip sizes ?
Does anyone know the size of the Aussie Flash trim clips at all - or know of a supplier ?
I have found these online but don't know if they are the right size, they are 5/8" by 5/8"
Thanks.

Firstly every thing on a beetle is metric...
all the VW parts shops would have them.
They should also be available from anyone who has wrecked the odd beetle...
plus they won't be worth much

Firstly, Lee, the 'Flash Trim' kits were not VW...most were made by Canopy Industries, Sydney. They were not metric.
There were different moulds, but the most common would probably take the clips shown above. As Dave says, they aren't dear, and you could 're-work'
them a bit if required.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Thank you everyone.
I have one set of the usual MV12C which are wider trims than the VW supplied side body trims ......
And I also have this set that although removed from a 67 Beetle look like a dealer made them up out of various different car mouldings....
I know these take a larger clip than a Beetle flash, but I have no idea what size.
Many thanks for the help.

There are some marvelous devices around for measuring, some of them centuries old...
