Beetle Fuel Tanks
Hi,
can anyone tell me if the are any differences between a 1967 and 1968 fuel tank other than the filler position.
I am building a Manxter and have the later tank with the horizontal filler. A vertical filler would be better.
Alternatively does anyone know of somebody in Perth who could modify the existing tank. I have had a rough price of $400 - I can get a new tank for or
less.

could you not fit a 90 degree bend on a filler neck?

I thought about that, was worried about length/flow shutting the pump nozzle off and also fuel blowing back.

I sometimes get backwash with a standard late Beetle filler neck, it can be overcome with positioning of the nozzle in the hole
