Thanx Paul

That'd be a 2.1.

1.9 needs the vacumn advance and has an oval shaped plug

Daimo, I got a replacement sensor from Ray Box years ago.
Don't quote me, but it was Camira/Bosch I think.
Just had to remove the original rivets and use small screws and nuts to retain it.

Ok thanx DB

..... They are few and far between by all accounts ( and not cheap). Bosch don't seem to make them anymore and my ever relyable vw supplier here in Aus literally laughed at me.

Found a "replacement" on eBay that seems to be bassackwards in its locating lugs and vacumn pin :( . I may just pull the sensor from it as you describe.
Yeah Ray is the man!

I'm feeling like it would be nice to carry a complete spare dizzy on the big lap.
