Vintage Speed exhaust question

Has anyone got the new Vintage Speed exhaust with heater boxes? I have one being fitted on my Ghia thats in the US, but the stock heater boxes wont fit. The flanges etc dont line up. Wondering if anyone has had the problem and if so, what they did to get around it.

Chris

you have to do what I did

Get some later model heater boxes without the ally heat sink
Get the BIG diameter J Pipes from VS
Open the seams on the heater boxes and remove the stock j pipe then fit the larger VS pipes
Re crimp the outer skin of the heater boxes together and add some welds for strength
Get flanges for the ends of J Pipes weld and fit to the VS muffler

Works a treat heaters in winter

I put a VS on my Type3 - article in VWMA a couple of issues back.

I chose to weld flange plates (35mm) onto the heater box "J" pipes and use the standard set up - see pictures.
