WANTED: SMOOTHIE RIM AND ADR SEATS

Not sure what you mean by ADR approved bucket seats. I have some grey cloth upholstered 2 door Toyota Levin seats in my '68 that I am going to replace. The seats came out of a half cut. They are mounted on custom mounts that bolt to the front of the Beetle seat runners and at the rear they bolt right through the floor with 2 bolts and a spreader plate each side as I reckon the original VW seat mounts are rubbish. The seats are very comfortable and the drivers seat is adjustable for height as well as rake, the lumbar support is adjustable and the side bolsters of the drivers backrest are also adjustable (which is quite rare). They are not really wide so you can use the handbrake and the heater controls with ease. As I am going to replace them with different seats and mounts, I would be happy to sell these. Seats are currently in the car (which is in my shed with the engine out) so you can see how they fit and feel. Price negotiable but not looking for silly money.
Cheers........Wayne

Thanks for the response. Do the seats have the ADR sticker on them anywhere?
Cheers!

Not that I am aware of. However the Astra SRI seats that I am going to replace them with (which came out of a Vic registered Astra) don't have an ADR sticker either. I have never seen an ADR sticker on seats. Seatbelts yes, but not seats however I am happy to be corrected. As far as I am aware, it depends on the year of the car whether or not you can fit non standard seats without a VASS engineers approval. 1968 is a pivotal year in Vic. After 1968 the rules are stricter. What year is your nephew's bug?
Cheers

Thanks for your reply mate but according to the engineer, yes they do come with the ADR sticker...at least the newer ones.
Cheers!
