air cooled 1600cc piston rings

I have a 1600 with the pistons stamped 85.95, not 85.5. This was an industrial motor. I need to get a set of rings but cannot find any reference to 89.95 pistons. can anyone help please?

Looks like it has 0.5mm oversize pistons fitted. Get rings to suit 86.00 bore.

I was talking to Lyn Connolly and his son Shannon of VW Crisis Line in Cairns whilst at Valla/Macksville, and mentioned I had 4 or 5 industrial motors. Lyn told me how he had a government contract to service and rebuild the Army industrial motors. He said he had to replace nearly all the pistons and barrels on hundreds of industrial engine and due to a shortage of new Mahle pistons and cylinders in Australia he had to commission a company in Launceston to make some pistons and cylinders. Chances are you have one of these engines refurbed by Lyn with an Aussie made piston and cylinder kit! Might be worth giving him a call on it.

Thanks

Steve
