Ex-Army 10 kVA generator

Team,

Just picked up one of these gennys and am looking for some info, I know there may be a few people here who have one, and am looking for any sources of technical information, websites, facebook pages etc that anyone may have come across. There is a thread or two on here but apart from the excellent handbook, not much else.

All the best and keep it going. The Australian military had many versions of the VW 1200 as compressors and generators. I remember as an apprentice using a VW compressor to start Westland helicopters. They proved far more reliable than the helicopters .

Saw one of these a few years ago

I really don't know anything about them, but a guy came to My house about 4-5 years ago. He had bought the Generator/welder as He lived off the grid somewhere in NSW...
He was looking after something, I cannot remember what it was... I had just replaced all My push rod tubes which I gave Him I think plus other gaskets etc..... and i gave him what he needed...

I don';t know How he knew who i was or lived etc??
