CB trans rebuild.
I have done a trans with a taller diff for my CB project.
I had the axle tubes blasted and primed many years ago.Just found one tube has the mounting flange separated.
There are small dimples that locate in the bolt up flange. Are these spot welded together.
The other side appears that the 2 pieces are really stuck together.

I would drill the spots out n silver solder it back together again
not to much heat so it don't distort

Gary, I have a good one of those flanges. If you email your address, I can send it to you. greg at kirrapak dot com
You'll have to knock the pin out, and press the tube out of the casting - not difficult for a bloke of your skill...
Cheers, Greg

Thanks for your confidence in my ability Greg.I will get it into my blasting cabinet and clean up both surfaces where they should be in contact.See
what it looks like then.Reckon it would be easy to cut the flange off and reweld it.Will get back to you. Many thanks.

Blasted both surfaces where the 2 parts were attached.Looks like they are separate items. All I blasted was an old crusty gasket goo.So I split the
other one-the same.Looks like the dimples make sure they align properly on assembly.I will give it a smear of silicone when I assemble.
