bases are different in 70 to the later ones....maybe change the backs onto orig 72
want any vw bits old but like me, Made in Germany!!!

I currently have a late pan with an early body and recaros on custom bases. old seats went 10 years ago I think
WANTED kombi drivers side rear corner for a early bay! found after six years lol
WANTED engine lid for early kombi 71

There are 3 different types of seat runner. "L", "T" and the 3 leg. The "L" type is low backs only and used up until around '71 or '72. Then
there is the "T" type which is high or low back. The later models have a 3 leg similar to Golf and are high backs only.
I read it on samba, so it must be correct.
Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

ok nearly a year is up and I have got a set of 1971 high backs 
T runners. one base looks to be beyond repair rusted. so one T runner 1971 base needed. will take whole seat. condition not too important just need
locking mech to be working
