Wheel spacers

Hi Dubbers,

I have a 2000 Mk3.5 Golf Cabrio. I want to widen it's stance, so am thinking of putting wheel spacers on.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the subject?

Thanks.

Need to check your state laws, as they are not legal in Vic as far as I know

Simplisticly running wider track is better for handling than a narrow track.

So..............

Can you put adapters on for the same wheel?

Adapters bolt to the original brake face and then wheel bolts to that.

As opposed to running long bolts or studs??

How do you plan to cover the wheels?
Have you made fibre glass flares or something?

I've made no plans yet. Am thinking of modest 15mm spacers. I would hope that flares wouldn't be needed for 15mm.

It has standard wheels. That's all I know.

I have put some new alloys on - don't know about offset.

Wheels have a different offset (ET)

Read here
https://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator

You need to build your car around your wheels not build your car an add wheels
