'54 tail/stop light upgrade.

Just wondering if anyone has managed to improve the 'heart' stop-lights? In these days of extremely low standards of driving, I am concerned that the stop-lights on my '54 are a bit hard for the idiots to see.

Is there a 6v LED upgrade for these lights? I would prefer not to add extra stop-lights (last resort), and certainly do not want to change the appearance of the existing original tail lights. Any ideas?

I have sent an email to Chip Birks who made my led lights asking about 6v hearts. He should reply in a day or two.

I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

Phill, do you know if these lights still function as tail lights and stop lights? They sure look bright in the picture - I wonder if that's on 6V or 12V?

It does not say whether the price is for one light set, or a pair. It could work out very expensive...

Don't know about the voltage. It's a bit hard to understand from his ad.

Mine cost around A$220 for the pair.
