1964 body differences

I'm trying to help a mate restore a 1964 beetle.
He has one with sentimental value that has history from new.
Unfortunately it wasn't stored well when parked up in the mid 80's and the gutters are shot.

He is looking for a new body, but that is all getting hard these days.

Anyway - may have found a good 1960, but guessing it is a 1961 as it doesnt have semaphores?

I have found this list of changes
http://www.vw-resource.com/years.html

But can someone tell me the differences?
I reckon we can bolt over most things, but maybe the hinges will be the only giveaway?

Around July, 1960 the semaphores were swapped for blinkers (50/50 tail lights fitted). At the same time paint went from lacquer to baked enamel. Still no springs in the bonnet hinges.

I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!
