where in Perth are you ?

Sweet engine bay man, much cleaner / tidier than mine :)

Are those IDF's you have ? It looks like you have the CB performance throttle linkage on too. I've got 40 IDF's on the CB linkage and manifolds, and they fit pretty tight in a 1303 engine bay. How did you go tightening up the rear nut on the carby - manifold joint ?

Or did you put the manifold and carby together out of the car, and then connect them to the motor ?

Whereabouts in perth are you ? Are you in noH20 ?

yeah.... umm they are the CB (porsche) linkages, and yuppo they certainly are quite tight what you do is make up a special spanner for the job, bit of welding and grinding and you can make up a right angled ring that fits and can tighten the nuts. I live in bicton, what is noH2O?? a club i guess... how do i become a member.... ??? i have no idea where to get parts over here, i order them from east coast since ive been in perth for only 2 months!!

I'll email you off the names off some respectable VW places in perth - I dont really want to start arguments on the forum. Suffice to say that the places I reccomend, I only reccomend because of my own personal experiences with them - other people will think differently.

When I put the webers on my car I cheated and cut holes in the side of the engine bay :) 2 for the spark plugs, and one to get the spanner on the nuts. Slack I know, but a couple of cover plates and you'd never know they were there.

NoH20 is a no cost club (ie they arent an affiliated club), made up of a group of pretty relaxed blokes in general. They tend to have runs to freo cafe's and pubs etc. They have a yearly show. You can join via their web site - its http://www.noh2o.org

Definetely a nice ride you have there. Will have to keep an eye out for you on the road.

I love the exhuast. Did you build it yourself or did someone make it. I want the same thing for my 1640 63 bug. I like the hot exhuast with the standard peashooters look. How much did it cost to make?
