Brakes

Iam trying to get the braking system working better on my 74L bug. I bled the brakes and adjusted the rear, then got the mechanic to bleed and adjust as it wasn't rite, and it still isn't :( Mite try some new front brake pads, any brands that are good? I would like performance once.

Anybody heard about a place called supreme engineering in browns plains in brissy? i have been told they do a 4 wheel comodore brake upgrade?

I know bugs weigh something in the vicinity of half a commo, ...(um...dont know where i'm going with this post) but my mate with his VN swears his brakes are shit. Being niave here, are there any alternatives to commo brakes?

On a tangent, I saw a an R34 Kyline with red Porshce calipers on the front and back wheels.... now thats nice!

Actually the stock system is more than adequate, check that the cylinders and calipers are in good nick, flush the brake system of fluid and bleed it, adjust as necessary, make sure the braking surface is free of grease/oil or crap, adjust the master cylinder push rod and brake pedal and it should be fine

i think the steel brake pads for the disks work better than the composite pads

if you are hard on brakes they don't fade when hot
