welcome Black_math,
it really depends if you have a standard motor or a hottie!
i've got a 1835 thats pretty quick but it cost a few bucks,
start saving!!!

i don't think there is any way a standard golf could (easily) do anything over 200 lol
115hp just can't push that much frontal area. Even the Gti would struggle past the 220 mark.

if it's a bug, it'll max out at around 80 Mph.
put a hotter motor in it, you'll get 110 mph, but aerodynamically speaking (hahhaa hahaHAHAHAHAH hahH .. hah.) bugs aren't.

although if it was chopped it might be a better option. for top speed anyway.

welcome the the fold, black-_-math :D
we'll need lotsa photos of your machine, so get snappin. we love to kick tyres :D

Hey Black Math

Have you looked into the 'Tech' and 'Paint and Body' areas here. They're good for asking questions, or answering someone elses :thumb

If your looking for bits 'Buy, Swap and Sale'. Hmmm, a very popular area;)

You've probably checked them out already LOL

Cheers

Black Math if you want your bug to go fast you need to endow it with special magical powers like mine.:D It can go fast but only when you close your eyes...:o

welcome black math... the other thing to think about is the gearbox and ratios. you could get teh big motor and find your top speed not much different. and if you plan to do the BIG speeds. get ya brakes sorted out as well. hope you do the advanced driving course. we dont want our vw's nastied up...

and 555bug. standard golf/audi will get 225 on the red line. have done this and soon as i fix me scanner will post a pic of speedo for ya.
