a few concepts
just thought id bundle together some of the concepts for what i am doing in the bus and get any suggestions/hints from you guys.
1. headlining:because i have a camper and only a small amount of headlining up front, i was considering gluing padded vinyl to a cut-to-size piece of
ply and screwing into place rather then bothering with using the original bows again. also thinking this may give me a fraction more headroom, which
would be good, as i am tall and rather close to the roof when sitting.
2. bed. so that my bed does not get filthy from being sat on. i am considering having a thinly padded seat attached to my z-bed frame, then a high
density mattress folded behing, over engine, which can be kept clean and folded out over the top at night.
3. deadening. planning on filling every panel that cannot get wet with spray foam, then pannelling over the top.
4. floor. has anyone tried vinyl tiles in the rear floor of a kombi? i want a b/w checkerboard look
5. aircon. am soon to install a 1.8l subaru engine (to replace my 1.6l subi unit), and i purchased it as a complete car, which included aircon.
could the subaru aircon pump handle me pumping the air up through the old heater pipe to the front of the car? also, if i placed the switchboard
overheat where the air controls were on the splitties, would that look cool?
6. heater. considering similar setup with the subi heating. would it retain enough heat, or am i better off getting an in-car mounted electric unit?
