Beetle Door Hinges

I'm getting my beetle Karmann cabrio ready to go to the painters, and I have noticed that the door hinge is a bit rough. I know how to replace the pin, but I think that the hinge itself might need replacing as its been opened wide without the stay at some point and bent the metal on the door part of the hinge and cracked it.

I had a look at the hinge, and it is held to the door with 4 metal rivets or plug welds.

Does anyone know what the process if for changing these over? I'm guessing that you would have to locate some good second hand ones?

Also the cabrio hinge has 4 bolt holes and 4 screws whereas the sedan has only 3.

Thanks

Steve
