Best time to visit West Coast U.S.A.

If someone was intending to travel to California when would be the best time to do it? Taking into consideration that 2 weeks is probably the max time away. With weekends at the start and finish. Which VW shows would be the best to go to? Would it be possible to get more than one show in. Hopefully 3. One each weekend. The plan is 2004 is the go so there is plenty of time to organise an itinerary.

June is the best time.... plus you have 10 months to save as well

The 2nd weekend or longweekend here is when the OCTO and VW Classics is on in LAX....

take BIG empty suitcases with you as no doubt you will radi the swap meets... and from memory the following weekend is the Pomana swap meeting

Ive done this weekend about 7 or 8 times over the past few years... its really great.

Yeah i would love tooo,... .

funny thing happened last time and i know this may sound strange but i got BORED looking at the cars and swap stuff.... and actually left the show early.. now wait for it to go shopping with my missus....

Now get off the floor... I suspose i am used to seeing the stuff and i only had the missus to discuss points of interest with see thats probally why i was bored.

But still had a great weekend trip to LAX.

That is the type of info I was after. Amate of mine is thinking about the trip as well and we were thinking along the lines of a bigger storage facility than a suitcase...

Hi,
A friend and myself just did the VW Classic in L.A. We left here about the 30th May and stayed 2 weeks. Got to the VW Trends dyno day, the DKP night at Dairy Queen, the BBQ Bash at Kymco and the Classic. There are a few other things to do aswell ( pamona swap, octo meet etc ) if your into it. You have a free week in between the weekends to go shopping, Vegas etc. Take BIG bags and lotsa $$. I recommend the above events, you`ll have a ball. Cheers, Keith.

That is the trip I am thinking of doing next year Keith. I will seek out all those events on the net. I am not going with my financial controller so I can do every Dub thing there is to do. I just want to get as much into 2 weeks as I can.
