I'd be investigating whether it has the same bellhousing pattern as real nissan engines like the SR20 or CA18DET. If it did I would buy it, sell
the motor and use the adaptor.
Probably not very likely though.

Hmmm. I actually owned a 120Y once. Flogged it every day and it didn't let me down for 12 months.
Mechanically not a bad little jigger.
Then I posted it into a tree and the motor ended up out and under the car and the windscreen touched my head.
Yep I have had plastic surgery.

You obviously don't know your jap motors.
Good nissan engines;
CA18DET
SR20DET
RB26DETT
The RB being the king of the group. The only prob is they are inline engines so don't fit VW engine bays very well.

You should learn what they are, cos they will be what eats you for dinner on the street. The good old modified VW motor used to be good for stoplight
racing, back when the competition was overweight aussie family cars and low budget jap base model cars. A low 15 second VW was very fast and pretty
much unbeatable on the street.
However todays jap imports are extremely fast, and very streetable. My brother has a Silvia with a SR20DET, and it's damn fast. A very nice
motor. The australia pulsar SSS got the SR20DE (non turbo) engine and everyone knows they are quite quick, so imagine putting a turbo and intercooler
on one.
My mate has an old toyota sprinter, he put a CA18DET in it. Also a very nice motor, and very fast in the light sprinter. 0-100 in 5.99 sec with very
bad traction problems.
Another friend has a GTR Skyline import. A few weeks after getting it he took it down the 1/4, and ran a 11.99s time. It is his daily driver. It has
the RB26DETT engine.
