Kombi pop tops (the canvas part)

The canvas part of our pop top is looking very ordinary these days i.e. grubby, plotchy aged canvas look. Has anyone had any success recolouring that part of the poptop and if so how? Alternatively what would it cost to get the canvas replaced or you think it would be cheaper to get a new poptop?
