Oval Headlights
What are the correct positions for the adjusting screws on the headlight on and oval window beetle. I thought it was 4 and 8 o'clock position.
Now I am hearing 2 and 8 o'clock position. Any ideas?

I'm guessing here w.r.t. ovals and somebody brighter will no doubt correct this, but:
2 O'clock and 8 O'clock are directly opposed at 180 degrees to each other, so wouldn't work for adjustment.
By manipulating 4 O'clock and 8 O'clock together or in opposition, you could manage both horizontal and vertical alignment and that's
why they're at those locations on my Kombi.

I have no idea what 2-8 is for but check out this link. This is why I asked the question to start with. Think things may have been different in
Hamerica.
You need to go in a couple of pages on this link.

That is why I thought 12 and 9 were for early cars. I have 4 and 8 on the 63, which is what those replacements are as well.
