I have been away

Hmmm.... anyone miss me???

The family and Daisy has been away.
We have been
Turon Gates (Sofala) - Wellington - Dubbo - Nyngan - Parkes
1700 kms in all

BLOODY WET AND COLD!!!!
We camped the first nights in the bush at Turon Gates. Up the road from Lithgow. Hail. Bloody hail in October!!!
Anyway it was fun. But wet.
From there we went via Kandoss and Mudgee way to Wellington. Well it was fine there BUT COLD!!! Had to get the fire going by 4.30 or my nuts disappeared! Had a look at the caves and some phosphate mine. From there off to Dubbo. At least it was warmer BUT WET.
PISSED DOWN.
Then off to Nyngan. The outback. Emus - bloody emus. Every where!
Then due south through the centre of NSW to Parkes.
Tottenham - Trundle - Albert - Bogan Gates.

Yep - not much out there.

Had a look at the big Dish thingy but by then it was too bloody cold. So we headed off home.

Daisy was great!
Lots of room and no probs ( except a push rod tube that sprung a leak the day we left! )
Average of just under 8km/L or 13ishL/100kms

Anyway here are a couple of pics

Welcome back blue. :thumb That's pretty good mileage, I've been getting 14l/100kms.

'Bogan' isn't too bad.... it could have been 'Grogan'!! :D

Welcome back. I had a week up at Port Macquarie myself.....so sorry to say had a coupld of days on the beach with the kids.

You'll also be upset to know that I know of a 23 window hidden in a shed at Tottenham - a future project of a friends.
