'70 Fastback or '65 Beetle

I wanna buy another VeeDub to modify, using only proformance Veedub parts, to slaughter ricers... I like the shape of the fastbacks but beetles have alot more info to work on..... and another question.. can veedub 2Lt engines be easily fitted to the Fastback...
thanks for any of your opinions...

a 60s fasty would be cooler tho... the engine isnt a cheap conversion, but not hard, it is basically just a change of the fan shroud, no harder then into a beetle.(so i have been told)
