EMPI Wheels on a Type 3
Can EMPI or any other Type 3 people out there tell me what tyres I can fit without clearance issues on a set of Rocket EMPIS on a 65 Notchback with
drums all round, and if lowering the car would affect the clearance etc.
I have heard that clearance is a bit of an issue out back and on full lock!
Thanks
Steve

Not sure if this is any good to you, but I've got BRMs on a '65 type 3. 135's at the front, just touch on full lock with 2 people in
the car. 165's out back with only a couple of mm clearance. Also, my car is lowered a few inches all around.

Hey,
64 squareback, rocket empi replica's
195x50xR15 All drum, lowered
As you said, the rear has minor problems but only just and with a little guard persuasion of the lip will be fine. The front with one person in the
car is fine. will scrape a bit with a passenger. Hope this helps.
