subwoofer box sizes - in a beetle

Guys,

No doubt lots of your cars have a subwoofer in behind the rear seat. I've now got the time and the gear to put one in - can anyone tell me what size box will fit behind the seat ?

Yes, I know I can just go and measure it, but I was just curious if anyone knew off hand.

Cheers,

Doug

Yep - I've seen them. I've had a single ten and two tens in beetles before, but now I have two 12" subs sitting in the garage and am wondering if I can make one of them fit..... and am too lazy to measure to find out myself :)

what make are the subs as diffenert make will nbeed different air volumes. you will be able to fit two 12's in the back depending on the make and what sort they are as in are they free air movement,do they need air ports etc etc. once you have worked out what amke they are there are plenty of web sites that you put the make, wattage, output and it will give you a full 3D plan with all mesurements ....hope that was of some help to ya

Currently have 2 12 inch. Pioneer TSW1200C, the bullet ones from a few years back. About a 38 Litre box I think, the reason why the rear of my car sits so low :D

Definately not the best place for a sub box 'cos of the size. I used to have eight 12s when I didn't have a rear seat though ;)
