I dont think so!

Not anti Shannons but they will only insure cars that are locked away at night.
Not all cars are that lucky to have a warm bed at night.
Daisy the Kombi is a street kid.
As long as it is stock NRMA will insure it. I have Daisy (1982 air cooled) insured for $8k with them

Yeah, Wolf only has a carport, and not behind a locked gate. Shannon's didn't have a problem.

Not that it will apply in Brisbane, but the RACV told me they'd insure my '75 kombi for $5000, even though I paid less, because that is the book value for a '75 kombi. They hadn't even looked at it! :o

Maybe you spoke to someone who was on their way out to lunch or going home!! Actually had a Shannons' rep look at and value the camper at Valla and didn't blink an eye. A few months later when I actually did something about getting it changed over form another insurance company I called them up and again, no questions raised because it was a camper.

I have found that Shannons will Insure whatever you want, so long as it is legally registered, for whatever price you are happy to pay the premium on.
I insured my Oval for double what I paid for it, cos it is worth double what I paid for it (I think so anyway). no prob, just a higher premium. :thumb
they were the only one's who would full comp my camper being more than 30 tears old. :thumb:thumb

We have 3 cars with shannons including the daily driver Beetle on third party only.

http://www.shannons.com.au

It is important to tell them if the vehicles have immobilisers or are in locked garages, or not.

They are very cost competetive if you have a daily driver and show cars. Lets face it, they know you can't drive all of the cars at the same time?

I know a guy with 5 cars and it worked out he was getting the 5th one free. When he added it to his policy with the other cars it went up by only $50, but on its own it would have been $300.

I know a few people that have had to make claims, and they felt very comfortable throughout the whole process.
