my type 82e project

heres a picture of my beetle which i'm putting the country buggy running gear into.
To make it into a sort of kommanduerwagen (type82e)
If I had the money I'd get myself a split oval body to do it properly but this will have to do for now
its got bugger all rust in it just 2 little spots in front of the door pillars where they all go.
I know its not an ideal candidate as it has the chrome flash but it was the cheapest rust free beetle I could find.
hopefully I'll get time to pull the gbox and front end out of the country buggy this weekend and seea bout getting them into the bug will keep you updated

Good to see you are finally getting things rolling, looks like a alot of work ahead.

Saw a split bug for sale in latest ultravw magazine and only 3500 pounds.

Good luck
Kurt

Marcel,
Here is another Replica from over in WA which is sitting on CB running gear.
No fully authentic but still a head turner.
