stainless trim

with the two tone paint I find that my stainless trim strip is visualy lost.could I replace these strips with the early wide ones?I know the clip holes will have to be drilled bigger.has anybody done this?the front-side strip seems longer on mine(Sbug)but the rear,in the wide, might be the right size to do the front as well. any help?

I would paint the thin stock trim in a dark colour 2 pak paint this would enhance the 2 tone paint section.

Dont know if the earlier wide trim would fit the later car.... Paint would look better...

was looking at some old stainless trims today and think I can do it,the doors are the same-the backs are good -and I will use back ones for the front as the old stainless one are shorter. will post pic when I do it

Rob get some old trim and spray it with enamel black to get an idea of what it would look like..

I think the wide early model trim would be a lot of stuffaround...

As you say it just needs an outline to high light it
